Unique to animal life is the human ability to create and use high level abstractions. Abstraction enables those of us here now to build upon the works of those humans who have come before us. Abstraction is what enable human kind to advance in improvements in all facets of life.
The Nature of Abstraction is of the association of meaning to some symbol or sound sequence so to use less space and time to communicate. Less resources than it would take to communicate without abstraction, if the given communication is even possible without high level abstraction.
Because we exist in a physical world first, and abstractions are our creations, then there must be physical movements that has to happen enabling our creation and use of abstraction.
We identify these actions and test them by trying not to use them while using abstractions. If avoiding any of these disables our ability to create and use abstractions then we can verify the physical elements required for abstraction use.
At what level is the most direct conversion of abstraction to physical reality?
Of course we can find plenty less direct conversions of abstraction into the physical world. The building of a house uses abstraction to communicate everything from what materials to buy and where to deliver them to organizing the construction sequence. Imagine how you would build a house without the use of absraction. Perhaps it would be easier to just find a cave.
